Google Search hFeed and hCard

Google rich snippet data tool gives a lot of people shit when it comes to the rich snippet data testing tool.  Especially when it comes to the “Extracted structured data”. People ask me what the fuck is an hatom-feed. To tell you the truth, it’s just data, proper data. I had this problem on my website

Error: Missing required field "title".
Error: Missing required field "updated".
Error: Missing required hCard "author".

For titles,  the keyword is “entry-title” in the class.

<h1 class="title single-title entry-title"><?php the_title(); ?></h1>

As far the time, the keyword is “updated” in the class.

<span class="post_date date updated"><?php the_time('j F,Y'); ?></span>

What the fuck? an author? wat?…uh that’s you

<span class="vcard author">
<span class="fn">

<?php the_author(); ?>

</span>
</span>
<span class="vcard author">
<span class="fn">
<!-- this way is the lazy way and wrong way to do it but it works -->
Ken Fujimoto

</span>
</span>

Basically Google is looking for a few things that explain the hatom-feed with the hatom-entry: entry-title, updated, author, and fn (person-name, family-name, etc etc.)

The most common installation is seen on wordpress but this can be used a good start for proper data structuring tool, I really don’t give a shit about this that much cause it’s tedious, and I’m not a hard core blogger so fuck this, I got video games to play -I’m out!
